About Batida project

The main goal of the project was to build a user-friendly online store for a traditional Polish bakery. Batida's menu contains mainly variants of sweet cakes, but it’s extended with a lunch and catering menu that attracts customers looking for a wide range of products.

Delivered solution

The previous online store was based on WooCommerce and didn't meet the client's expectations. We decided to use Shopify, which offers many out-of-the-box solutions and can be easily extended with new plugins. The new store was launched on time, ready for the batida.pl grand opening.

Goals and results

UX/UI & SEO e-commerce analysis

We worked on the UX/UI part of the store and introduced visual changes on the frontend while working on the selected Shopify theme. We also introduced some SEO improvements.

Custom integration with PayU on Shopify

For the integration with PayU – not an official Shopify partner in Poland – we created a custom Ruby application, which required vast knowledge of payment security and extensive testing.

Extending the new store with Shopify plugins

The system and all add-ons had to be configured from scratch. Some features had to be added using separate plugins. To work correctly, they all required an appropriate setup.
