Industry events are the perfect opportunity to network and stay on top of growing trends. During such events, we can meet emerging startups with MVPs seeking investors, entrepreneurs sharing their ideas, or experienced professionals who just want to keep an eye on what's going on. There are also people on the lookout for new career opportunities or companies searching for employees, and those simply interested in the world of technology or startups, looking for inspiration or mentorship.
In 2021 we participated in 11 events, including but not only: London Tech Week, Running Remote, Infoshare, Web Summit. We’ve managed to research thousands of participants, and meet with more than 80 companies’ representatives across the year.
At iRonin.IT, we do not miss such opportunities and take part in as many events as possible, both online and on-site. This year will be no different, so here's a breakdown of the most interesting industry events in 2022.
Startsummit
24 - 25.03, St. Gallen, Switzerland
The event takes place in March. This year it will be held in a hybrid format, allowing attendees worldwide to participate. Startsummit aims at young entrepreneurs, students, and other people interested in new employment opportunities, as well as investors, representatives of medium-sized and large companies from Switzerland and neighboring countries and beyond. It is a great opportunity to meet new, exciting people from the industry, exchange experiences, and also push forward your business goals or establish new contacts.
E-commerce Berlin
05.05, Berlin, Germany
It’s an e-commerce dedicated event gathering over 8.000 participants across Europe and the United States. The event will be held in person in Berlin. Attendees include people across different areas of e-commerce, such as retailers and brands, tech companies, media, analysts, and others. This event is the ideal opportunity to meet with global players from the e-commerce industry, like Zalando, Allegro, Amazon, and more. Although it’s a one-day event, it is undoubtedly worth being there!
EU - Startup Summit
12 - 13.05, Barcelona, Spain
In 2022, this annual event will gather over 1.500 in-person attendees in Barcelona. During two days it will showcase many of Europe's hottest startups and bring together a number of interesting personalities to lead their panel discussions. Apart from targeting startups, the event is also an excellent opportunity for representatives of medium and large enterprises to exchange experiences, network, obtain additional funding or get inspiration.
London Tech Week
13 - 17.06, London, England
One of the biggest and most iconic UK technological events will be happening again this year. This week-long event is loaded with activities for all kinds of participants. More than 20.000 people interested in technical innovations and related industries will take part in networking events and panel discussions where they will exchange knowledge, experience, and different points of view. London Tech Week is a great opportunity to explore knowledge in industries such as IT, EdTech, AI & Machine Learning, Blockchain, and more. The event will have a hybrid format that will allow participants from outside Europe to enjoy the full range of opportunities offered by the conference.
WebSummit
01 - 04.11, Lisbon, Portugal
Straight from sunny Lisboa, the Web Summit is an amazing occasion to take stock of the year and catch new contacts for the next one. It’s one of the largest and most recognized industry events. Definitely a must-go! This year it will be held both in Lisbon and online. In addition to a multitude of networking opportunities at the event area, attendees can also meet outside at additional activities prepared by the organizer. This event, too, is designed for startups, investors, and aspiring entrepreneurs who want to explore the possibilities of running their own businesses and seek inspiration.
The events listed above are only subjectively the most interesting tech events planned for 2022. Based on our experience from previous years, attending the above will be our priority this year. That being said, we will surely take part in many others, and who knows, maybe the next year’s list will bring some surprises.
